The smell of smoke from the large fireplace lingers in the lobby of this large resort inn, amidst antique chairs and furniture. The 250-room resort features rooms of all shapes and sizes, including double rooms, suites, and townhouses that can accommodate families of up to 12 people. Rooms include kitchenettes with stove tops and microwaves, as well as gas fireplaces, Jacuzzis, pull-down Murphy beds, small bathtubs, and little flat-screen TVs.

Onsite activities include indoor and outdoor pools and a playground. This isn’t the Ritz — mattresses are somewhat lumpy, and the noise of traffic from the highway permeates some rooms; but overall it’s a comfortable old-school family resort.
