The Driftwood Motel, recently completely renovated/re-designed, is located at Holmes Beach, one of three beaches at Anna Maria Island, Florida-a strip of 7 miles of narrow sand on the Gulf of Mexico in Southwest Florida. The website gave great photos and accurate descriptions of the motel, the rooms, and location. We chose the Osprey Landing room complete with a mini kitchen: small stove, mini fridge, microwave, sink, and dish washer. Also supplied are plates, cups, glasses, and anything you need to cook with. Also provided are starter items such as paper towels, dish soap and sponges, dish towel and bathroom items. The room was beautifully designed, equipped with everything we needed and very clean. We felt very comfortable in the space. With a beautiful shabby chic/beachy decor complete with shiplap walls and bead board in the bathroom, as well as a king bed, the small room was perfect for me and my husband. We were there a week ago, in December and enjoyed the heated pool, the very short walk to the beach and restaurants close by. There is a free trolley that runs the length of the Island and it stops very close to the Driftwood Motel. We look forward to returning again.
