Beautiful resort, Helpful and professional staff and an absolutely breathtaking view. Visited for a business trip and wound up with a fantastic family vacation at this top notch resort. We all cannot wait to go back for another stay!

I’ll begin this by saying , the room itself was nice and clean, however you can get nice and clean anywhere. The service was horrific. My flight arrived late so I checked in at 3am, at which time on entering the resort , no greeting , the individual at the desk looked at me and continued to play around on the computer. I had to greet and let her know I was checking in , gave my name . This young lady failed to tell me where I was going , this was my first time booking here , the rooms are out and away from the service desk multiple separate buildings , so it would’ve been great to know that, told her I had a knee replacement she puts me on the third floor , no elevator, after expressing mu concern about stairs baggage and traveling alone , she then decided to place me on the second floor. I can go on for days , I’ll just say customer service was extremely lacking, the cleanliness of the checking area was also a put off . If you are on a middle floor you hear all the commotion of the tenants above you, I don’t believe this was worth the amount paid. I would’ve felt justified if the customer service was at least sub par. If you are into paying large amounts of money for poor service and tenants sounding like a herd of bulls over your head, you’ll love this place ????
Family Activities
Pools and Dive-In Movies
The hotel has five swimming pools, including a beautiful outdoor pool that faces Cheyenne Mountain. In the summer, family-friendly films are projected by the pool at sunset on Saturdays.
Beach
Yes, there's a beach at Cheyenne Mountain Resort! The man-made, sandy beach is located along the resort's lake and plays hosts to games and even concerts in the summer months. Fun Fact: The Fray, whose members are natives of Colorado, have performed here!
Cheyenne Kidz Camp
Available to both club members and guests of the resort, Cheyenne Kidz Camp is hosted in the summer months. For an additional fee, kids can participate in games, arts and crafts, and more.
Zoo Breakfast
You don't even have to leave Cheyenne Mountain Resort to get to the zoo! Animals from nearby Cheyenne Mountain Zoo come to the resort every Saturday in the summer so kids can get up close with their favorite critters during breakfast. Breakfast is hosted 8:30 to 10 a.m. Reservations are recommended.
Gourmet S'mores on the Terrace
Purchase a S'mores package ($10 each) to enjoy on the outdoor terrace, complete with rocking chairs that face Cheyenne Mountain. Kits don't just include marshmallows and chocolate either -- expect to find nuts, caramel, peanut butter and even bacon in the mix! S'mores nights are hosted Friday and Saturdays in the summer, 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Tennis Courts
The resort has a full-fledge tennis club, with both adult and children's instruction available. The tennis court facility is part of the fitness club that's frequented by many locals.
Fitness Center
You won't want for any equipment or amenities here -- the fitness center has an extensive inventory of cardio machines, strength training equipment and free weights, plus tennis courts, a smoothie bar, locker rooms, and sauna and steam rooms.
It's open 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Monday to Thursday, 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, and 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday. Childcare ($10 per child for resort guests) is provided for kids up to age 8.
Family Dining
Elevations Lounge
You won't see many kids at Elevations Lounge (Mountain View Restaurant is best for family dining), but children are still welcome. Elevations serves lunch and dinner, with signature options that include Elk Bolognese, House Smoked Baby Back Ribs, and the Cheyenne Burger (made with buffalo). We also recommend the Roasted Half Chicken.
At the bar, order the 6,035' beer (named after the elevation of the resort and Colorado Springs), made specifically for the hotel by Phantom Canyon Brewing Company, a local brewery. Elevations opens at 11 a.m. daily.
Pine View Grille
Open seasonally, Pine View Grille overlooks the resort golf course and offers casual favorites -- salads, sandwiches, burgers, pasta and more, plus entrees. Both indoor and outdoor seating are available.
The Pine View Grill is open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. on Sunday; it is closed on Monday.

All About the Extras
Resort Fee
The resort charges a daily fee of $24, which covers parking (self or valet), group fitness classes, boating on the lake, outdoor tennis and free Wi-Fi. It also includes access to the resort's facilities, including the fitness center and golf course.
Pets
Pets are welcome in select guestrooms for a non-refundable fee.
The Art of Smart Timing
The resort comes alive in the summertime, when most travelers descend upon Colorado Springs for outdoor adventures. Families will also be able to take full advantage of the resort's amenities when the weather is warm -- including the pools and tennis courts.
Getting There
If you're able, fly into Colorado Springs Airport, which is serviced by regional flights. Otherwise, you'll need to fly into Denver International Airport, about 1.5 hours away.
Getting Around
You'll want a car to get around Colorado Springs, as the hotel is slightly removed from most attractions. You might also need it to get around the expansive resort, though everything is within reasonable walking distance and shuttles can be requested.
Guests can park right outside of their building, with plenty of free parking available.
For Mom and Dad
Golf
Test your skills at the 18-hole golf course onsite, designed by Pete Dye. The beautiful course is set alongside a lake, with beautiful mountain views in the background. Equipment can be purchased at an onsite golf shop, as well.
Alluvia Spa
Make a reservation at Alluvia Spa, where you'll be treated to a heavenly massage, facial or wrap. We recommend the Purify and Renew treatment, which combines a full-body exfoliation and massage. Afterward, enjoy the sauna and steam baths, or simply relax with a magazine and a cup of tea.
Elevations
Parents should also make time to enjoy the complimentary craft beer tastings at Elevations Lounge, hosted 5 to 7 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
