This lovely place is very close to suiting all the needs of a traveler who wants up-to-date, reasonably priced overnight accommodations , a decent (included) serve yourself buffet breakfast, a place to tone up your muscles and take a swim.... and in nice weather,a place to take a relaxing walk or do some other outside activities , or, if you are so inclined, have dinner and curl up next to the (gas) fireplace with a drink from the well-stocked bar.
My special lady and I took a second floor (yes, there is an elevator) suite and appreciated the room amenities and the pair of porches that overlook the broad field and a bit of a view of the Ottaqueeche River. The room however, did come with a few quirks... apparently the rug installer never talked with the finish work guys when this room was completed a few years ago...there’s an awkward dip in the floor rugging going between the two bedrooms and you really have to force the door closed to use that second bathroom privately, because of the friction between the rug and the door bottom... could have been solved by shaving off a bit of the door bottoms...
...(side note- that room could really use a low four-drawer bureau... it would avoid living out of ones suitcase.). We didn’t look at any other rooms... just saying...
Bottom line... I might not ask for the same room, but I’d definitely go back again.
PS... if you go... do visit the nearby Raptor Center and their Canopy Walk and get yourself up to Sugarbush Farm and Queechee Gorge !
