Overview

Hotel Taiwana is a luxury boutique resort set on Flamands Beach and a short drive to Gustavia. Families with kids will love the Jade Suites, which have two bedrooms and can be booked with a private pool (optional). Alternately, book a three-bedroom villa, the four-bedroom penthouse, or a one-bedroom with an additional rollaway bed. Some are directly on the beach, while others have private gardens–but no matter which suite you book, you’re guaranteed a gorgeous view.

A continental breakfast is served free of charge, or you can order extras from a menu. Have lunch at the Taiwana Restaurant, which is set on the beach and offers grilled foods, salads, and desserts. At night, it turns into an elegant fine-dining restaurant perfect for date night.

This was a great hotel up to 2013-early 2014. The new management ruined it with an awful renovation that destroyed all the unique charm of the rooms. By 2015, the service was the worst. Roaches in the rooms, shrieking voices at 6 a.m. from the cleaning and maintenance staff, incompetent management: they sent someone to help with our bags in a small truck that was carrying trash! So our bags would be side by side with huge trash bags! Alex (the then manager) was not helpful. We ended up dragging our luggage ourselves down to the lobby. Hope the new owners (Cheval Blanc) will do a better job with an otherwise fabulous location.

Absolutely the worst dinner ever
Meals came out haphazardly- dinner served for some with appetizers for others
No chef on premise -kitchen help prepared meal
No manager present
Food served cold
Restaurant very tired and in need of serious help
Servers uneducated on proper service
Should be ashamed to be in business

After being at cheval blanc all day that is the place to stay and eat not here

This place should close their doors - it has no business being in in st Barth
