Overview

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, this beachfront hotel has a view of the famed Santa Monica Pier. Families will love playing in the sand and splashing in the pool but surf lessons and bike rentals are also available at the Casa del Mar. Families are provided with directions and bottled water when renting a bike for an hour or daily fee. Kids bikes and tow pods are also available for rent. The guestrooms and suites offer guests a Bluetooth speaker system and Keurig coffee. A family-friendly living space and one to four bedrooms are available in the suites. Some rooms also offer a patio steps from the pool or a fireplace. The two onsite restaurants serve breakfast, lunch, dinner and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.

This is not a 5* hotel

Just returned to my room to once again, 4th day in a row, find a bathroom in darkness: lights are breaking on daily basis.
Would be a minor thing, but when taken with room service that doesn’t pick up, having waited for 25min to get into my room, having breakfast chairs that are old and creepy and tables that are nothing but an old worn down marble plates, hallways that are bulging all over, old and smelly carpets and staff that smiles and is apologetic but does near to nothing to make the stay comfortable this hotel leaves a LOT to be desired.
On the good side, the room is nice with cute details, I had a great facial and breakfast staff is really doing their best.
At the price of the hotel stay I can just say that the whole experience is ridiculous. 4* at best, and only because the location (bate in mind the construction on the beach side) and the building itself.
Would not recommend to anyone.

Never get tired of this hotel. Location great, service the best, perfect food. Location is close to shopping and a good italian restaurant: capo
Sunsets are a plus. Lounge are is very confortable and convenient.
