Yes, Disney World has plans to open a gondola system, and has just released new details.
Called the Skyliner, the new transportation system will connect the parks and select hotels. The gondolas will feature images of popular Disney characters on their exterior.
The system will connect Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Pop Century and Caribbean Beach resorts with Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot. The official Skyliner station will be located at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort.
An official opening date has not yet been announced.
