As the “Guardians of the Galaxy” sequel rocks movie theaters this Memorial Day Weekend, Disney’s California Adventure Park rocks the weekend with a new ride featuring a Guardians of the Galaxy theme. “Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT!” debuts today, May 27.
Replacing the theme park’s former drop tower, BREAKOUT offers its own storyline based on the films and comic books, action rock from the 60s, 70s and 80s, and multiple rides where guests won’t know which adventure they will get until they climb in. The stars of the movie are featured throughout the attraction. Entering the 183-foot tall fortress, passengers traveling with the crew will join the new drop tower ride with six different ride profiles and soundtracks on the “Awesome Mix Tape.”
