Southwest Airlines announced it will begin nonstop service between Fort Lauderdale and Tampa Bay to Cuba next month, with fares as low as $59 one-way.
Beginning Nov. 13, 2016, Southwest will offer service between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Varadero, Cuba (VRA). Flights to Havana (HAV) will begin Dec. 12 from FLL, as well as Tampa International Airport (TPA). As the airline irons out approvals with the Cuban government, it is taking reservations with 14-day advanced notice fares as low as $59 one-way, when booked before Nov. 20, 2016. The fares are valid on select dates through Apr. 24, 2017 travel.
