North Carolina’s Carowinds amusement park is announcing lost of new attractions and events for its 2017 season.
Next summer, Carowinds brings back its oldies but goodies in a new County Fair section of the amusement park. However, families will enjoy four new rides that will hopefully become new favorites. The spiraling Do-Si-Fo, spinning Electro-Spin, swinging Zephyr, and the circular Rock ‘N’ Roller will all debut for next summer’s season.
Later in the year, WinterFest will arrive and turn the amusement park into a winter wonderland with holiday lighting and decor, as well as new features. Carowinds’ Midway will transform its paths with songs, dance and favorite holiday characters, while ice skating will be offered on Snowflake Lake. Families can decorate ornaments and make cookies with Mrs. Claus, as well as meet Santa Claus himself. Christmas musicals and a nightly lighting of a 70-foot tall tree will be part of the live holiday-themed shows being offered. WinterFest at Carowinds debuts in November 2017.
