Disney Junior cable television provider is launching a traveling, educational exhibit based around one of its most beloved characters, Doc McStuffins. The show features a 6-year-old girl who dreams of being a doctor and puts on a magical stethoscope to bring her toys to life. The new exhibit will provide children with imaginative play and learning through Doc’s adventures and hands-on activities that will teach kids about health.
Doc McStuffins: The Exhibit will debut at the Children’s Museum of Indianapolis — the world’s largest children’s museum — August 6, 2016, and remain in Indianapolis until January 2017 before heading to museums across the country through 2019. Doc McStuffins is a Peabody Award-winning program developed for children ages 2 to 7.
Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO of the museum, says of the upcoming exhibit, “Disney is a world-leader in family entertainment and it is our honor and privilege to work with them to create an extraordinary new exhibit that will encourage families to discuss the importance of health and wellness.”
