As the election heats up and kids are overhearing the candidates discuss the road to the White House, give your children the chance to see what it’s like in the Oval Office. A new exhibit, “Headed to the White House,” opened at the National Constitution Center to coincide with the 2016 Election Year.
“Headed to the White House” will run through Nov. 13, 2016 at Philadelphia’s Independence Mall. The exhibit includes artifacts and interactive multimedia to guide visitors along the campaign trail to the Oval Office, with fun facts about what it means to be president. (Think wake-up calls from the White House operator, free M&Ms, swimming in the White House pool, and a private jet!)
Before March 31, tickets are $13 for adults and $8 for children 4 to 12. After Mar. 31, tickets are $17.50 and $11, respectively. The National Constitution Center is open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., Mondays through Saturdays, and 12 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
