Jimmy Buffet successfully launched his first Margaritaville Resort in Hollywood Beach, Florida, last November, and now he’s taking his beach-themed resort to Orlando. The new Margaritaville Resort Orlando, actually located in Kissimmee near Disney’s Animal Kingdom, has started construction and aims to open in 2017.
The new resort will take over a 300-acre community along U.S. Highway 192, which also features Main Gate access to the Magic Kingdom. The resort will feature an aquatic lake and beach area with fishing, kayaking and paddle boarding, as well as a water park and swimming pools. The resort will also feature Buffet’s signature restaurants and spa.
