As the final season of Downton Abbey airs on PBS, fans of the English show can plan ahead to enjoy a Downton-themed weekend at Georgia’s Sea Island resort.
Sea Island resort will transform into an English manor with a weekend-long event hosted by Jessica Fellowes, author of “The World of Downton Abbey;” Alastair Bruce, brigadier and professor who serves as historical advisor for the TV show; and Anna Mary Scott Robbins, the show’s costume designer. The weekend will provide guests an opportunity to learn behind-the-scenes tales and will culminate with a costume part and screening on the latest episode. Special guests include Raquel Cassidy, who plays Phyliss Baxter; Kevin Doyle, who plays Footman Molesley;and Phyllis Logan, who plays the beloved Mrs. Hughes.
Downton Abbey Weekend takes place Feb. 4 to 6. Guests can elect to stay at the Cloister at Sea Island or the Lodge at Sea Island, with rates starting at $500 and $225, respectively.
