Circle Line, the popular New York City-based Hudson River sightseeing cruise line, is launching a special Oktoberfest cruise that will take guests to Bear Mountain, in the New York Hudson Valley.
Beginning next Saturday, September 26 and running weekends through November 1 (as well as Columbus Day on Monday, October 12), passengers can enjoy a full-day cruise up the Hudson River to Bear Mountain and the Bear Mountain Inn. The cruise leaves Manhattan at 8:30 a.m. with German beer and traditional German Oktoberfest food, including bratwurst, schnitzel and soft pretzels, and takes a leisurely ride up to Bear Mountain. Arriving at 11:30 a.m., guests can hike, bike, visit the zoo, view the fall foliage, and enjoy a brunch at Bear Mountain Inn. The cruises depart Bear Mountain at 3 p.m. to return to New York by 5:30 p.m. On Saturdays, the cruises also include a live German band on board.
The special Bear Mountain Cruises are $65 for adults and $40 for children. A bike rental package allows guests to take a bike ob board for an additional $20.
