American Airlines announced it is adding new weekly flights to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) in the Dominican Republic beginning December 19, 2015.
American will offer direct flights from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) and O’Hare International Airport (ORD) on Saturdays.
Dominican Republic’s smaller airports, Cibao International Airport (STI) in Santiago, Gregorio Luperon International Airport in Puerto Plata and La Romana International Airport (LRM), also welcomed weekly flights connecting each other to Punta Cana, the island’s main airport. Travelers wanting to get to the more remote destinations by plane can now find flights through Tropical Aero Servicios (TAS).
