Lonely Planet Kids, an imprint of the world’s popular travel publisher Lonely Planet, has a large group of titles debuting this September. The new books aim to embrace the publisher’s brand to “enhance learning, interaction and appreciation for the planet’s rich diversity of people, places and cultures.”
“Lonely Planet Kids: The Travel Book” is a hardcover aimed at ages 8 and up. The book answers questions about every country, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe, with facts on animals, culture, food and more. ($19.99)
“How to Be an International Spy: Your Top Secret Guide to Espionage” is also aimed at ages 8 and up/ The book discusses cool gadgets, code cracking tips, decoys and surveillance for the spy-loving child. ($17.99)
“You Rule: Create Your Own Country” is a book for ambitious children 8 and older who want to rule the world. The hardcover walks kids on how to establish laws and borders, design a flag, and how to rule. ($14.99)
“Adventures Around the Globe” is packed full of maps, activities and stickers for younger kids, ages 4 and up. ($12.99)
