Orlando will welcome its tallest, fastest and longest roller coaster in 2016 when SeaWorld Orlando opens Mako, a “hypercoaster,” a coaster known for high speeds and steep drops.
Mako arrives at SeaWorld Orlando as the thrilling attraction to a 2-acre shark-themed area of the park. The coaster will travel along 4,760 feet of steel track (nearly a mile!), reaching speeds of up to 73 mph and heights of 200 feet. Besides the addition of Mako, the new shark area will feature a Shark Encounter, Sharks Underwater Grill dining, educational experiences and gift shops.
