This year, the train tracks running through Napa Valley celebrates its 100th anniversary, and passengers can enjoy dining in 100-year-old Pullman cars aboard the Napa Valley Wine Train.
The Napa Valley Wine Train has been providing 3-hour tours through Napa Valley, California, since 1989, allowing visitors to pass through some of California’s best and biggest vineyards and wineries. The tracks, originally built in the 1860s, were originally used to bring guests to the resort town of Calistoga. Today, passengers pass through Napa, Oakville, Rutherford, St. Helena and Yountville, as well as countless wineries.
In honor of the anniversary, guests can enjoy dining in a fully restored 1915 Pullman Dining Car, as well as a 1952 Vista Dome Car.
The journey begins in Napa, traveling north for fantastic views. Passengers are allowed to disembark with pre-purchased winery tours, available through the tour. Vista Dome Dining Packages and Pullman Car packages provide multiple course meals, wine and the tour with pricing beginning at $124 per person for lunch or dinner.
