Rocky Mountain National Park Turns 100

If considering visiting a National Park in 2015, consider visiting Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado, as it celebrates its centennial anniversary.

In January 1915, Rocky Mountain National Park was dedicated as a National Park, and through September 5, 2015, the park will celebrate with special centennial hikes, ranger talks, children’s activities, art exhibits, speakers, historic tours and more.

For kids’, Then and Now walking tours and geo-caching adventures will be offered at the Grand Lake Visitor Center, while kids can earn special centennial editor Junior Ranger stickers through Alpine, Beaver Meadows, Fall River and Kawuneeche visitor centers.

Also celebrating the anniversary is the History Colorado Center in Denver, which is running a special Centennial Exhibit called “We –Lissa Poirot
