Recently named one of the top cities to visit in 2015, Philadelphia has added one more attraction to the mix to enjoy this year. The new “The Art of the Brick” exhibit at the Franklin Institute is the world’s largest display of LEGO art, and it is open now through September 6, 2015.
The Art of the Brick exhibit showcases more than 100 works of art, all made of LEGO bricks. The exhibit has been traveling the world for seven years and now visitors can find the show at Philadelphia’s renowned interactive science museum, The Franklin Institute. Visitors will see replications of some of the world’s most famous works of art, including the Mona Lisa by Da Vinci, Klimt’s The Kiss and Van Gogh’s Starry Night — all made out of LEGOs. LEGO sculptures will also be on display, including Rodin’s The Thinker and Alexandros’ Venus de Milo — even a 20-foot-long T-Rex will be on hand!
The exhibit will take place at The Franklin Institute’s Mandell Center in Philadelphia, with tickets ranging from $15.50 to $25.50 for children 3 to 11, and $19.50 to $29.50 for adults, depending on day or evening hours.
