It’s officially become easier for Americans to travel to Cuba.
Following last month’s announcement that the U.S. and Cuba would resume diplomatic relations, the Obama administration has announced it’s relaxing restrictions on travel to the country, just 90 miles from Key West, Florida.
With a valid passport, Americans can travel to Cuba if the trip meets one of 12 categories, including family visits, humanitarian projects, professional research, religious activities, educational activities, and public performances, clinics, workshops or competitions.
Americans can also get there by way of tour companies, such as Globus, which launched three new itineraries for Cuba in late-2014.
Additionally, U.S. airlines will soon make it easier for Americans to get to Cuba. JetBlue and United Airlines already have plans to add routes to the country.
This is the third time the Obama administration has eased travel to Cuba. In 2009, Cuban Americans were granted access to the country, and in 2011, it became easier for Americans to get there for educational and cultural purposes.
