Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts has unveiled a new generation of guestrooms, the first major change to accommodations within the past several decades.
While the rooms aim to attract business travelers (particularly young professionals), the features are just as convenient for families.
Beds
In the new guestrooms, angled beds have padded, curved headboards, in addition to insulated walls. These features significantly reduce noise levels, a perk for families, particularly those with infants and toddlers.
Nooks
Each guestroom features a comfortable, multipurpose nook. It’s designed for informal meetings and social time, which means it’s also an inviting space for families to relax.
Workspace
The rooms also offer multipurpose work areas with clutter-free surfaces, accessible outlets and adjustable lighting. Any family knows that accessible outlets go a long way for everyone’s electronic devices, bottle warmers and more. Plus, the work space doubles as a vanity with a mirror.
Additionally, Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts provide cribs (or Pack ‘N Plays) and rollaway beds upon request, as well as free Wi-Fi.
The first prototypes will launch at Crowne Plaza Atlanta Midtown in 2015, with hope for a global roll-out in the future.
