“We will open March 1, 2015, with the park completely finished,” Schlitterbahn CEO, Jeff Henry, told KRIS-TV in Corpus Christi, Texas. “All 90 hotel rooms, all three restaurants, all the concessions, and all of the rides… and we’ll be ready to go next year at Spring Break.”
In the meantime, the indoor river section at Schlitterbahn Corpus Christi — which has a kid’s area, tube chute and swim-up bar — is open to the public on weekends. This section, along with new golf and tennis courts, is available to Schlitterbahn Beach Country Club members daily. Additionally, Veranda Restaurant & Bar is open to all, and serves sandwiches, salads, burgers and the like.
When the park opens next year, families can also expect to find Torrent Tidal Wave River, a lazy river with waves, and Boogie Bahn, an inland surfing experience.
