New York City is welcoming two new Hyatt Hotel properties: the new Park Hyatt New York, opening August 19, and the Hyatt Herald Square New York, opening November 1. Both provide families with more Hyatt brand options in Manhattan, with both properties within walking distance of Central Park in Manhattan.
The Park Hyatt New York is located on 57th Street, directly across the street from Carnegie Hall. The flagship hotel occupies the first 25 floors of a 90-story, mostly residential building. Guests will arrive on the first floor for check in on the second floor, with an option of 1,301 rooms and suites. The hotel will feature an indoor swimming pool, a spa, DVD players and free Wi-Fi. This hotel will be a luxury property with lots of bells and whistles, as well as rates starting at nearly $800 per night.
The Hyatt Herald Square, however, is more budget friendly. Located on West 31st Street, the hotel is taking over a space that was formerly a Holiday Inn. The 20-story building received a $6-million renovation and upgrades, including to the hotel’s 122 rooms. Guest rooms will feature flatscreen TV’s, small refrigerators, and a decor of sparse furnishings to provide a light and airy look. Rooms begin at $375 per night, with stays available from November 1 and beyond. The hotel will also feature a Den space for relaxing, as well as a rooftop lounge providing fantastic city views.
