During the summer, it’s Knott’s Berry Farm; Sept. 25 to Nov. 1, however, it’s Knott’s Scary Farm, where ‘tweens, teens and parents in search of a good spook will find just that, and more.
The popular park, based in Buena Park, Calif., has announced plans for three new mazes in 2014 (totaling 10; six were added in 2013).
These include “Voodoo,” which travels into what looks like the backwoods of New Orleans, and “The Tooth Fairy,” where guests meet a creepy version of the character, plus others who’ve had a less-than-pleasant visit to the dentist’s office. Most popular of all (so popular, in fact, that reservations are required), “Trapped: Lock & Key” has been revamped to feature dark, door-less rooms that are a challenge to escape…
Additionally, Knott’s Scary Farm has announced an interactive, zombie-killing experience, in which patrons will use simulated military weapons; teams of 12 will be guided by Squad Commanders.
Admission for Knott’s Scary Farm is $39 per person; additional fees apply. For $65, Knott’s Scary Farm Passes are available for the duration of the 24-night program.
