Marriott has opened a two-in-one-hotel in Los Angeles, Residence Inn Los Angeles L.A. Live and Courtyard Los Angeles L.A. Live. While both hotels share a lobby, they’re noticeably separated by aesthetics and offerings.
The Courtyard caters to business travelers, though families are welcome to stay in 174 modern guestrooms and suites, which range 350 to 480 square feet in size. The Residence Inn, specifically designed for leisure travelers, provides fully equipped kitchens in suites, plus complimentary breakfast and a convenience store.
Cribs, rollaway beds and free Wi-Fi are available at both hotels. Other shared features include a fitness center, outdoor swimming pool, laundry facility and onsite restaurant.
Local tourism officials have long awaited the property, as Downtown Los Angeles lacks accommodations. “Marriott has long watched the growth of Downtown and L.A. Live,” says Eric Jacobs, Chief Development Officer of Marriott. “The success of the 1,001-room Ritz/J.W. Marriott building, as well as the area’s demand for hotel rooms oriented toward business and extended-stay travelers, created an attractive opportunity.”
The property is located within close proximity of several popular attractions, including the KidSpace Children’s Museum, California Science Center, Natural History Museum of Los Angeles, Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Gardens, Staples Center and Nokia Theatre.
Residence Inn Los Angeles L.A. Live rates start at $309 per night, and Courtyard Los Angeles L.A. Live rates start at $289 per night.
