Despite passenger concerns about soaring airfare and hidden costs, Airlines for America predicts summer air travel will be the highest it has been in six years.
The industry trade organization released its Summer Air Travel Forecast and predicts 210 million travelers will fly between June 1 and August 31, 2014. This number includes an anticipated record-number U.S. travelers flying internationally – nearly 30 million.
