Celebrate Earth Day at a National Park

In honor of Earth Day, and in conjunction with National Park Week, the National Park Service is celebrating today with special events and attractions at national parks across the county. In honor of the special day, the parks are offering free admission.

For those looking to “roll up their sleeves and pitch in,” the national parks and sites are welcoming volunteers on cleanup and maintenance projects. For those looking to enjoy the great outdoors with special events, consider visiting a park for special events. For example, Yosemite National Park is offering an Earth Day mall celebration, an Earth-Friendly Product Faire and a sustainable salad bar, as well as other events such as photo walks, story time, live music and more.
