Overview

With views directly overlooking the famed Notre Dame cathedral, the Hotel Notre Dame is a small, boutique property offering visitors a stylish and decidedly Parisian setting. The hotel was fully refurbished recently, with decor designed by famed designer Christian Lacroix. Rooms provide views of Notre Dame, the Seine River or the hotel’s courtyard, with options of a double bed or two single beds. Because families cannot share a room, the hotel is best-suited for families with older kids who can have their own room, but with the small setting, it will feel more like having separate rooms in a vacation home. Guests receive free Wi-Fi and rooms include en suite bathrooms, air conditioning, cable television, and traditional French breakfast with pastries, juices and teas.

In the year since my first visit to Paris, the yellow-jacketed protestors have stormed the Champs-Elysée and a fire severely damaged the Notre Dame cathedral, but the memories of my stay across the river from that landmark are still fresh in my mind.
The wonderful staff at this small but meticulously maintained hotel at a busy intersection cheerfully greeted me each day, and my small but well-appointed corner room provided an incredible view of all that went on outside and below. I quickly adjusted as well to the small bathroom that was similar to what I've experienced during my couple of other trips to Europe.
A comfortable setting in a great location was a winning combination.
