We stayed at the Beach View Motel for two nights in a king balcony room. We arrived after 8:30 pm and the attendant at the front desk, Jason, was very friendly and helpful. Made us feel good about our choice of hotels right from the start. We grabbed a couple of warm chocolate chip cookies from a plate in the lobby and went upstairs to find our room.
Our door faced the pool area which was delightful. Although the pool is closed for the season it was still filled and the entire patio area is very welcoming; makes you want to sit and relax. I must say the pool isn't the largest but still very nice. We had a fridge and microwave but for any coffee drinkers i must add that there was no coffee maker in the room. Didn't matter to us since we don't drink coffee and i'm sure it was available in the lobby.
The balcony faced the street but with a miniscule turn of the head you have the boardwalk and ocean right there; half block away. There are two high seated and very comfortable chairs on the balcony. The bed was comfortable as was the couch and the room was immaculate! The location, for us, was perfect. Just across the street is Penny Lane which is enchanting and once through that you are on the main drag with all the shops and restaurants.
I would definately stay there again. Two things greatly impressed me; the cleanliness of the room and the very happy and friendly staff.
