Located on Stone Mountain Lake with gorgeous views of Stone Mountain, the Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort provides the ideal home base for families visiting Stone Mountain Park. The hotel contains six types of guestrooms, including five suite styles. In addition, connecting rooms are available, and rollaway beds and cribs are permitted, making it easier for families to vacation together. Guestrooms come with mini-fridges and coffeemakers, with some rooms also having microwaves, so having snacks on hand is possible.
Families staying at the Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort will especially love the heated indoor and outdoor pools so the kids can play in the water year-round. In fact, mom and dad can relax in the adjacent hot tubs while keeping an eye on the kids. And, because the hotel is located within the park, families can enjoy all the activities Stone Mountain Park has to offer without having to travel far to take a break at the hotel. The Stone Mountain Golf Club is also located on the hotel’s property, making this a great option for families who love to golf.
The hotel has onsite dining options for all meals, and room service is available daily. Plus, barbecue grills and picnic areas are onsite for those who want to cook up their own family dinners.
Although parking at the hotel is free, guests will have to pay a one-time daily parking fee to enter Stone Mountain Park. At check-in, guests will receive a permit allowing them in/out privileges to the park for the duration of their stay.

We were part of a 300 person conference that was booked into this Marriott at the end of October. I am totally puzzled by an earlier review, which indicated that Marriott had "renovated" this hotel. This property is indeed in need of a major facelift and update. They were just in the beginning stages of the process and had shut down 2 of the 3 elevators and most of two entire floors. We were greeted almost every AM with "brown" water in our sinks and showers, sometimes no water for brief periods during the day and even offered ear plugs due to the occasional construction noises, which plagued us for the entire 3 day conference. The food was also not up to the usual Marriott standards. I have had better breakfasts at 2 star hotels.
The location, in the heart of Stone Mountain park, was indeed beautiful, but Marriott would have been better off shutting the entire place down and making all of the necessary renovations.

I was at the Evergreen Marriott for a conference and could not have had a better experience. The people were great from check-in to the restaurant and banquet servers to the maintenance/cleaning staff. The facilities and location are VERY nice but the people are the ones who make this a truly beautiful place to stay. If you are planning on a nice vacation with a lot of things to do then this could be an option for your stay.
