Overview

Located in Waterloo, Iowa, the Waterloo/Lost Island Waterpark KOA Campground is part of the KOA Resort brand. Families can hook up their RV’s, pitch a tent or rent a cabin, the last of which offers spacious accommodations with queen beds and bunk beds, partial kitchens, full bathrooms, linens, Wi-Fi, cable TV and can sleep up to six. Onsite activities include a swimming beach, a pool, go karts, paddle boards, bike rentals, disc golf, a water park and more. Some activities cost extra. There is a snack bar onsite for family dining, but propane and firewood are also available for those who want to cook themselves. The campground is pet-friendly in certain areas. Check-in is at noon for RV and tent sites and 3 p.m. for cabins. Check-out is 11 a.m. for all. The campground is open year-round.

This place is beautiful

Not your typical KOA from the moment you drive-in .... they have gas pumps! I have never seen that at a KOA. Comparative prices from what I’ve seen and other gas stations. I used-the showers here I must say that was an interesting shower. It’s a push button and the water will run for about 20 seconds . I guess it’s their way of conserving water you can’t faulted them for that. I’ve always had a good experience at KOA’s and this one is no different very well-maintained and the employees were very friendly.

Unexpected Surprise

Stop over...not your typical KOA. Large, big rig friendly. Not many campers so we had a lot of privacy, level lot, great places to walk your dog. Clean. Did not use any of the facilities. Would like to return for longer time.
