Overview

The renaissance of this massive property right on the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene is one of the reasons CDA has become such a family-friendly getaway. With 330 guestrooms, three different restaurants, an outstanding spa, and water sports and activities galore, you could spend your entire vacation at this property and never experience it all. A majority of rooms have a marina or lake view, with views of the mountains in the others, which is equally beautiful. Private balconies, complimentary Wi-Fi, in-room video games and movies, and coffee makers and mini-bars are available in a number of accommodations.
From paddle boarding and boat rentals to kayaking and parasailing, activities are all available on the dock of this resort that is equally famous for its mile-long floating boardwalk around the marina and property. The Resort Plaza Shops, adjacent to the hotel, has a fun toy emporium with a 6-foot tall K’nex Ferris Wheel and a mini merry-go-round for little ones to ride.
A fine dining restaurant allows parents to have a nice evening while kids are looked after in the VIP kids program, open to those 2 and older. The Dockside Restaurant is known for its healthy selection of salads and other entrees, but it’s the massive dessert selection that really keeps people happy. Kids can build their own cupcakes at the table.

We spent 340.00 dollars for our Honeymoon for one night and trusted the Cour D Alene resort to deliver and we were let down. We showed up, expecting Valet and was informed that valet parking is extra and it also costs 10.00 to park in the hotel parking for self park but we were charged 19.00 to self park. We were not informed of this and was surprised. We paid and extra 30.00 to have a view upgrade and we got a view of the parking garage and hotel roof. Our room was standard size, nothing special with not even a bath tub. There was a restaurant above us that kept us up all night. When we checked in we got the package with a 90 minute cruise and 30.00 meal voucher. I was told I could use the voucher anytime but when I was trying to check out I was told if I did that I would lose my meal voucher and and cruise tickets so we quickly order something to go and got our tickets because if you check out late there is a 75.00 dollar fee. It short this place is a huge ripoff and for the money and would be better off staying literally anywhere's else. I explained this issues when we checked out and asked for at least a partial refund but they were very unsympathetic and could care less.

The resort is in a beautiful location on the lake with gorgeous views from many of the rooms. Unfortunately our view was the opposite direction which gave us a gorgeous view of the kitchen and restaurant roof vent system. Since this was an event weekend the room choice was limited and we had to take what we could get. The rooms themselves are very clean and although a 90's vintage they were nice! Restaurants and bar were very nice...a little pricey to be expected. We didn't use the spa, but from a walk-in and walk-out it seemed inviting and well equipped. Pool and work out facilities were above average. My wife used the Peloton bike for the first time which was pretty cool she said. Overall, this is a great place for a romantic getaway!
