Overview

Stockholm’s grand dame hotel is a historic beauty that dates back to 1874 and is located a pretty stroll (or scenic boat ride) from Gamla Stan, the Royal Palace and Sodermalm, right near the wooded island of Skeppsholmen. Standard rooms are spacious and contemporary, with king beds and room for a rollaway bed. And if your entourage requires more space, there are suites, too, with separate bedrooms and living areas. The hotel has a regal feel, to be sure, and service is as good as it gets — the concierges can basically map out your entire city sojourn, pointing the way to the best places to visit with kids in tow. Babysitting services can also be arranged by the concierge.

It started in the reception, waiting for "hours" to check in, then we got the wrong keys, after finally setling in the room, the lights in the bathroom didn't work. Reception wasn't very helpful and the breakfast is overrated and overpriced. Stay away!

After our stay at Grand Hotel Stockholm we couldn't be more disappointed. I have never met any staff member at any hotel that have been ruder and lacked both professionalism and understanding for a clients needs and wishes, than at Grand Hotel Stockholm, I can not and will not recommend this hotel to anybody unfortunately. It is beautiful and situated right in the spot, but with this lack of customer care its better to stay away!
