My husband and I stayed here for three nights in September. We were warmly welcomed by Waltar. We loved our peaceful room next to the canal, the bed was comfortable, room was very clean and elegantly furnished. The bathroom was large compared to other hotels we have been at in Italy and very clean. The air conditioning worked great. The morning breakfast was plentiful and varied and the ladies who served us worked hard to replenish dishes on the buffet and offered us second cups of cappuccino. We loved the neighborhood we were in and enjoyed eating at the various restaurants in the area which were recommended by Waltar. We loved sitting in the nearby piazza watching local families visit and children play. We would happily return to Al Ponte Mocenigo when we return to Venice someday.

This hotel is easily reached after disembarking the water taxi from the airport. This is a huge advantage in Venice where accessibility to places can be a challenge for the first time visitor. The hotel is modestly decorated, but very welcoming and comfortable, and room rates are really good. The buffet breakfast offers a nice range of choices. While staying here, you are close to everything but far enough from the main tourist areas as so not to be bothered by the huge crowds.
