Bed Bugs!

I was traveling LA and stayed this hotel for one night between October 16 and 17. There were 7-8 bed bugs crawling on my bed when I woke up in the morning. After I returned to my home, I found more than 30 spots on my body bitten by these bed bugs. I reported this issue to the front desk in the morning and the hotel crews confirmed these are active beg bugs. I further flipped all pillow covers and found even more bed bugs (adult, baby, and eggs) inside the corner of each cover. Further, observing bed bug babies and eggs hints at the possibility that my room hasn't been cleaned for a long time. I made an incident report at the hotel and the crews said the general manager will contact me within 24 hours. However, none of the hotel-related personnel contacted me, so I called this hotel more than 3 times asking them what they could do to recover all of my clothes, suits, shoes, luggage, and my medical fees. They only said I have to wait until the following week, and I was so upset. I directly called the Bonvoi Marriott HQ and they issued me a case number. I have discarded all of my suits and ties, luggage, and my clothes into the trash box. Now every part of my body is very itchy and some body parts are extremely swelling. In addition to my clothes, suits and ties, and other belongings, I am very worried about my property whether or not some bed bugs have immigrated.

Location of the hotel is nice - near to great food like Ramen Tatsunoya which is the best Ramen I've had outside of Japan. I had a course at Caltech and so the location was great for that as well. Its near some parks which makes it nice for a runner and near to some of the attractions as well.

What made the stay AWESOME was my interactions with front house staff Janine. From taking care of my Amazon purchases to helping me out on my queries, to personally bringing me extra supplies, she did it with such great a great positive and happy attitude. I don't usually write reviews, but I would love to get this review and my thanks and compliments to her!
