Overview

If you’re traveling to Marathon with a big group, Gulf View Waterfront Resort is a nice choice for accommodations, as it offers one- and two-bedroom apartments with full kitchens. Even if you’re traveling with a small group, the hotel, established in 1995, is still a good bet, since it offers guestrooms and efficiencies with microwaves and refrigerators.
Onsite amenities include free Wi-Fi; complimentary coffee and tea; hammocks, lounge chairs and picnic tables; complimentary canoes, kayaks and paddle boards and an outdoor swimming pool that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. Plus, guests get to meet the hotel’s resident guests, Coco (Silver Crested Cockatoo), Happy (Blue and Gold Macaw), Opie and Lola (Cockatiels), Iggy (Iguana) and Zig and Zag (Sulcata Tortoises).

Stayed in the Mahi Mahi unit for 3 nights. I loved wandering the property in the morning with a cup of coffee & talking to Coco & the other birds, also the tortoises! I have stayed at the Gulfview Waterfront Resort many times since the 1990's. This property is always well maintained. Susan & family are very personable and helpful. See you next year!!
