This place is terrible. Please do yourself a favor and do not stay here, even if you save a few bucks. This “hotel” is the embodiment of Murphy’s law - anything that can go wrong with your stay will go wrong with your stay.
First, they didn’t have the room we originally paid for, so we were given a worse one. Not a huge deal in itself, but with everything else that happened, it was quite clear this place is just not ready for guests.
I am allergic to down feathers and when we arrived, we were told the hotel didn’t have any hypoallergenic bedding at all. (Of course, we tried calling in advance to make the request but no one answered. I see many reviews mentioning this). So the first night of our stay I was very uncomfortable with my allergies acting up all night. I could barely sleep. The linens were also stained and gross.
The next day, there was no hot water. So we got moved to a room that did have hot water - the staff seemed to be aware that this was a problem. We were moved to the second floor, because the second floor was known to be a floor that had no hot water problems. Very comforting.
The second room was “unrenovated” - which seemed to be code for kind of dirty and gross. Thankfully, they did finally bring us non-down pillows at 5 PM that day (after assuring us this would be done no later than noon). We could only laugh when one of those pillows had a black stain mark on it.
However, several staff were very nice and did seem to genuinely care. Steven, Susan and Wanda. But I got the feeling that the problems here are so systemic and ingrained that any one person could not really do anything to fix this mess of a hotel.

I stayed here three times so far for business. The room I get is always big, bigger than normal but I have a Marriott Ambassador status, so keep that in mind. Their club lounge is currently under renovation, so breakfast will be taken at the lobby. Breakfast choice is enough, just like the Sheraton University City hotel. Not much budget-friendly food choices nearby so I usually just buy my dinner before I head back to the hotel. I always have a quiet room and gym is spacious. Gym has typical stuff, free weights, treadmills and stationary bikes. The hotel is also clean.
