Attended the Whitley Neil Gin tasting dinner- hosted by Chris Roses.
It was a fun evening and in such beautiful surroundings . Food was great as always and Piers ( GM) was exceptional in his service as always. The room was plush and extremely comfortable and clean .
As regular visitors and huge fans of the venue it was disappointing that breakfast let the experience down.
Poor customer service and severe lack of awareness of guests expectations - even a greeting or acknowledgment - was an awkward and disappointing end to the stay. The situation was rectified with an additional staff member sent to assist and to engage with guests.
Generally a great stay as always and the venue mover fails make you feel welcome.
We love Piers and his front of house staff . We love the building and it’s history .
Breakfast and the service in this area was not one to write home about .
If you haven’t been you must make this a place to stay and embrace the building, it’s grounds, and generally, it’s wonderful staff!.
