We've stayed here a few times. For PTown this place & it's sister inn, the Brass Key are really very luxurious. Most of the inns are fairly basic with over priced rooms. Now we were well off season, but for $195, I thought the price was well within the norm for such nice accommodations. The Pointe Rest. is nice, but can get very noisy. The food was good overall, but was disappointed with the Clam Chowder, which was thick as porridge! Chowders need to have milk/light cream & much less roux. which just thickens it & hides the inferiority of the dish. Having a food service bus. we felt the chowder was sourced from an outside vendor. My Roast Chix was among the best I've had in years. Reminded me a bit of Gordon Hammersley's Bistro. Richard's Chix. Parm was Ok, but not stellar. The dessert we felt needed Lemon zest & not reconstituted lemon juice. Richard is a pastry chef & among the best in New England. The morning breakfast was very nice. A real departure from the "full" breakfasts you get at other inns that are really over glorified continental style.

Walking distance to everything in town. Great service and staff. Highly recommend for anyone. The queen room "unique we got this time was unique due to both fire place and jacuzzi tub but it was a little tight. Could have done without the jacuzzi tub but a great stay regardless.
