There may be fancier city hotels, but quite honestly, I find the best hotel to recommend to friends visiting Philadelphia is the Embassy Suites. It’s budget-friendly price and all-suites configuration make it my family’s choice hotel whenever we spend a night in the city. Conveniently located within blocks of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the Franklin Institute, the Liberty Bell and the hip Rittenhouse Square, the hotel is a comfortable place for families, providing a home-away-from-home environment. Each room in the hotel features a bedroom with either king bed or two double beds, and a large living and dining area with small refrigerator, microwave, dining table, and balcony with city views. The hotel also provides free breakfast every morning, as well as evening receptions with snacks and drinks. It’s truly a great hotel for families in the heart of Philadelphia.

We had a super stay. the location is convenient to museums as well as historic area. Great view-and every room has a view.
The staff was super nice & helpful. Breakfast buffet was included and we were cheerfully greeted each morning by George, who made sure each guest was accommodated. Ebony was great at keeping our room spotless and supplied
we would definitely stay here again This is a “reimagined” property, but the redo is tasteful, comfortable, & roomy.

Great location, we walked to everything! clean suites. The elevator in proximity to the rooms leaves for noisy mornings with all the dinging and banging around, but otherwise, really a great stay if you're a family in the area. My daughter cried because the balcony doors don't open, which is kind of sad if you're looking to get some fresh air with your morning coffee, but these are little things. staff is nice, rooms clean, eveything convenient.
Family Activities
Although the hotel does not provide activities for families and kids, it is within walking distance and short cab rides to Philadelphia's most popular attractions, including Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell, the Philadelphia Zoo, the Please Touch children's museum, the Franklin Institute, the free Rodin Museum and the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
Family Dining
The hotel provides complimentary cooked-to-order breakfast every day, as well as a daily Manager's Reception with snacks and drinks and plenty of sitting room inside and out of the atrium to get to know other guests.
A T.G.I. Friday's is located on the property, providing all-day dining and room service to guests, often at a discount with coupons presented at hotel check-in.
Planning & Tips
Self-parking is not available at the hotel. Instead, cars will be valeted at $45 per night.
