Known for its attentive staff and superb guest services, the Pelican Bay hotel gives a red-carpet welcome to guests with a basket of pastries and fruit delivered to their room on arrival.
Beyond the three pools, family activities are limited right on property, but you’ll find almost everything you’re interested in nearby and the concierge will happily arrange special excursions. Nearby activities include golf, sailing, kayaking, horseback riding, snorkeling, scuba diving, deep-sea fishing, underwater cave exploration and swimming with dolphins. Just across the street are tennis courts, a full-service spa and a casino. A short water-taxi ride takes you to Taino beach, beckoning with a two-mile stretch of white sand and lots of water fun.
Guests can dine onsite for lunch and dinner at the outdoor Sabor Restaurant and Bar (also serving poolside) or take a short stroll to a multitude of restaurants and cafes (many offering ethnic cuisines) in Port Lucaya Marketplace. A breakfast buffet is served daily at the Captain’s Galley on the top floor of the Canal House, where guests also enjoy stunning views.
Guestrooms include 90 Waterside Hotel Rooms with private balconies and 96 Waterside State Rooms with private balconies overlooking the ocean, a living room and a kitchen nook with a sink and microwave oven. High-speed Internet access is provided throughout the resort and is complimentary for guests staying in Waterside State Rooms.

This was a one night stay. I’ve been to Freeport many times but never stayed here. Reception was quick and efficient. The room was huge and very well fitted, and clean. Great view over the water. Comfortable bed. The room also had a fridge, microwave and sink. I’ll definitely be back

Drove here in our rental car to enjoy a pleasant dinner. Arrived and were seated promptly. Service was ok that night. We ordered a drink and they brought it out as a virgin drink so we had it taken back and had them make the proper one with alcohol in it. They have regular dining tables out in front of the bar and they also have a floating dock next to the port you can eat on also. We did not eat on the floating dock due to there already being reservations for it and a birthday party was going on. When we went there was a very big menue but almost half of it (all the seafood) was not being served that night. The pasta we did have was very tasty and we really wished they had seafood serving the night we went.
