Each of this hotel’s 118 rooms (including 9 suites) has a microwave, refrigerator, and flat-screen cable TV (including free HBO). Free wireless Internet is available for all guests, and a hot breakfast buffet (with eggs, sausage, waffles, and the usual continental fare) is included in the room rate. You’ll find a small exercise room, as well. The hotel charges for parking, but the fee for valet parking is no more than the fee to self-park. Right on trolley line, the Sleep Inn at Court Square is just a block away from the Mississippi River and Mud Island River Park.

We arrived here knowing that work was being done renovating the hotel but were not expecting it to look like it did. Theres nothing wrong with it, there was just curtains up by the lift blocking off half of the hotel and the second elevator was behind a screen etc etc.
My problem is, and I know this will not bother/affect many others, but i HATE elevators. I am claustrophobic and going in them causes me a lot of anxiety. As such, regardless of what floor I am on i will always use the stairs and my partner takes our luggage in the lift. As such, i asked where the stairs were and was told that they are both under renovation so cannot be used. I was not expecting this at all, mostly because i thought all hotel had to have stairs in case of a fire.
Anyway, i used the elevator (with great anxiety) the least amount of times possible.
The rooms are an ok size, dated but that’s clearly why they are getting a renovation. We were at the front of the hotel and it was relatively quiet.
Breakfast was very basic but saves you having to buy some elsewhere.
Good location. Parking rates appear to vary.

We arrived at the Sleep Inn at around 10 am, and after a friendly welcome we were able to access our room. Water, tea and coffee were available at all times in the lobby.
Building work was on-going in several sections of the hotel, but noise and disruption to guests was absolutely minimal.
Our room was clean and comfortable and large enough to place two suitcases open on the floor. Great when you are only staying two nights and don't want to unpack everything.
Bedrooms were converted into the breakfast room due to the renovation work, but nevertheless breakfast was sufficient - if a little haphazard!
The location is perfect. The trolley buses stop a few yards from the hotel and you can hop off at the Peabody, Beale Street, or the Lorraine Motel.
Overall we had a great stay.
