The lodge is well located close to shops, restaurants and of course the water. I walked to the Marina to rent a canoe as it was convenient. The staff at the Lodge were helpful with hiking information and places to eat.

Rooms were good and comfortable, with a sliding door to an outside seating area.
The bar area was small and personal with a couple of decent beers on drought.
Sadly however the breakfast experience left a lot to be desired. Having a group of us sitting down for breakfast at a set time the staff were unable to cope, and we waited for over an hour for breakfasts to arrive, and with that a basic breakfast of french toast and bacon was as cold as it was outside. When complaining to the staff the response of shrugged shoulders was not what I expected or should have received. This left us an hour late on leaving the hotel for our onward trip making the day long, frustrating and cutting us close on deadlines later on in the day.
