Located about 15 minutes from downtown DC in the Falls Church suburb, Fairview Park Resort seeks to accommodate families by offering adjoining rooms, rollaway beds and cribs. All 395 guestrooms and suites feature air conditioning, sitting areas, premium television channels and Sony video games. Suites are more spacious, sporting larger living rooms with sofas and oversized ottomans. High-speed Internet is available for a fee. PURE Allergy-friendly rooms are available at Fairview, too. Ellipse Restaurant serves an eclectic medley of regional dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
An indoor pool with ample light from ceiling cut-outs is a hit with little kids. An outdoor pool is open seasonally between June and September. A connecting pool runs between the outdoor and indoor sections and a whirlpool is adjacent. Parents can use the sauna and 24-hour fitness center, offering cardio and weight machines.
Dun Loring Metro Station is only two miles from the hotel, offering an easy way to get around the area. The city has one of the cleanest and safest subway systems in the country. Fairview offers a complimentary shuttle to the metro station, as well as to the Tysons Corner Center (a huge shopping mall area). Nearby tourist attractions include the White House, the U.S. Capitol and Arlington National Cemetery.

We lucked out and got our room at half price! It is without question the best! Service was exceptional. Amenities were tops. Free shuttle to/from the Metro meant we could leave our car in their garage the whole week we were there. Staff was extra friendly and delightful to deal with. I can't say enough good things about this Marriott!

I was glad to stay here over a weekend. The room was nicely appointed and was quiet and comfortable. Everything was in good working order except for one of the USB ports in a bedside lamp. The room is quiet overall, and the window blinds do a good job of shutting out sunlight during the daytime hours. The hotel's fitness room is well equipped with weight and cardio machines, though it is interesting that the swimming pool has been permanently closed. They are going to replace it with an expanded and much larger fitness center. I actually like that, since I seldom use swimming pools in hotels. I look forward to it when it is complete. The breakfast buffet has a decent selection, and was perfect to start the morning. I've always found the staff at this hotel to be top notch. They are attentive, friendly, and always helpful. And this stay was no exception. This is a well run hotel, and I look forward to future stays here in the future.
