You’ll be sleeping super close to the BB &T Ballpark (Charlotte Knights baseball minor league), Bank of America Stadium (Carolina Football) the NASCAR Hall of Fame, the Mint Museum of Art, and the Charlotte Museum of History, not to mention miles of delicious dining venues. Your Omni sky bridge walk will connect you to the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, IMAX Theater and Discovery Place (incredible kid fun), the Charlotte Convention Center, and the Epicentre entertainment district (great for all, but especially parents), too.

Just a small drive from the Omni is both the Carowinds Theme Park brimming in roller coasters and the U.S. National Whitewater Center — an absolute don’t-miss-no-matter-what, teeming with water and land sports.

The towering 15 floor-Omni has 374 guestrooms and suites, all with head swiveling views of the gorgeous Charlotte skyline. Kids will dig the rooftop pool and parents will be surprised to find complimentary access to the elegant Charlotte Athletic Club located on the Omni lobby floor. The Trade Restaurant & Bar delivers awesome farm-to-table comfort plates that will satisfy even the pickiest, and there’s also a hotel concierge lounge.

Omni beds across the continent are known for being insanely comfortable with sumptuous linens and mattresses - and the Omni Charlotte is no exception. All of the Omni Charlotte guestrooms have a lovely view of the skyline, too, but you're assured an entire wall of brilliant view if you request a room ending in "31" or "7."

As expected, honor bar fridges are stocked with tasty items that will catch the eye of the cute set. Can you call ahead and have the tempting treats stored out of sight? Sadly, no, but you can call the day before your visit and request that a mini-fridge be sent to your room (free of charge).

Guestrooms with kings and double beds connect. Rollaway beds and Pack 'n Plays are complimentary.

Need to stay connected? All rooms come with a desk paired with fabulous ports and outlets. And bathrooms all have a combo tub/shower, except for certain suites that offer a garden tub.

If you want the Signature Lounge access with small plates at breakfast and dinner (dessert, too!), then request a room or suite on the 12th to 15th floor.

Note: The Epicentre across the street from the Omni may mean you'll hear merry makers longer than you'd prefer at night. When you make your reservation, request a room on the highest floor or facing away from the Epicentre.

Deluxe Rooms
The 312-square-foot rooms offer insane city views, flat-screen HDTVs, and a desk. Choose between a king or two queen beds. Deluxe Rooms sleep two adults in king rooms or four adults in the queens.

Premier Queen Guest Room
The Premier Queen offers 640 square feet with two queen beds and a stunning glass wall delivering jaw dropping city views.

Premier Executive King Room
The Premiere King comes with 515 square feet and delivers more epic views of the uptown Charlotte skyline.

Club Rooms
The 432-square-foot club level guestrooms offer your choice of a king or two queen beds and feature rain head showers and a turndown service. All club level guestrooms include access to the Signature Lounge. Club rooms are located on the 12th to the 15th floors.

Executive Suite
These 640 square-foot corner junior suites come with a king bed, two glass walls overlooking the city and a sitting area.

Scott and Sheppard Suites
Offering 1,200 square feet on the 15th floor, these beauties include an adjoining sitting room with a wet bar, refrigerator, garden tub, separate shower and fabulous views of uptown Charlotte.

Mecklenburg Suite
The largest suite offers a "wowza" 1,000 square feet of living space, complete with a living room for six, a formal dining table, large wet bar, marble bathroom and connecting guestrooms. The suite is located on the 15th floor and is smothered in gorgeous views of the Charlotte skyline.

Omni Sensational Kids program
When children arrive, they're welcomed with a backpack filled with healthy themed games and goodies meant to nudge the kids towards eating well on family trips. The backpacks include an activity book with recipes and games, a twisty straw, memory match-up cards and Crayons. On their first Omni evening, kids also receive milk and cookies delivered to their guestroom.

Pool
The Omni's rooftop round-shaped pool is located on the second floor's rooftop that extends from the building and overlooks the Charlotte skyline. The pool ranges in depth from eight inches to three feet, six inches, and is surrounded in cushy chaise lounges and upscale seating. Kids ages 15 and under need to be accompanied by an adult. No lifeguard is on duty. Open seasonally from 7 a.m. to 10:30 pm. A pool bar is open Friday through Sunday from noon to 8 p.m. in nice weather.

Food Court
Directly under the Omni's lobby floor is the Bank of America Plaza that is a small mall with a Starbucks Coffee, Chick-fil-A, Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint, Just Fresh, McAlister's Deli and more casual dining.

Room service is available 24 hours a day.

Signature Lounge
Located on the 14th floor, the concierge lounge is a small slice of heaven for the traveling family that doesn't want to leave their floor in search of something tasty. Along with breakfast and dinner small plates, the lounge offers cold cereals, oatmeal, sodas, milk, juices, fresh fruit, coffee, and adult drinks (extra). The Lounge also has computer works stations, flat-screen televisions, newspapers, magazines and concierge services. The lounge is available to all guests who stay on floor levels 12 through 15.

Tip: By signing up for the Omni Select Guest Membership, you not only receive free Wi-Fi, but also might receive access to the Signature Lounge (depending on availability; ask about the lounge service when you sign up.)

Trade Restaurant & Bar
The Omni's upscale restaurant specializing in elegant comfort food sits on the lobby floor. Serving three meals a day, the Trade Restaurant begins by serving a popular Art of Breakfast buffet. Blueberry maple sausage patties, customized omelets, applewood smoked bacon and oh, yeah, the offerings roll on. Or order from the a la carte menu for the kids and watch their eyes light up at the Krispy Kreme breakfast sandwich that layers bacon and eggs between two Original Glazed doughnuts. Lunch and dinner are lavish with starters like Carolina Nachos and Quinoa Waffles and entrees featuring rosemary chicken, seared Atlantic salmon, shrimp and grits and a 14-ounce ribeye. The chef is proud to rely on North Carolina growers.

High chairs and booster seats are available, as well as a children's menu. Open Monday through Friday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., 5:30 to 10 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday opens for breakfast at 7 a.m. The bar is open Monday through Sunday, 2 p.m. to Midnight.

Fitness Center
The property has a small fitness center that sits adjacent to the pool deck on the 2nd floor with four cardio machines, hand held weights, a flat screen, towels and cold water. But better yet, all Omni guests who are 18 and over have access to the lavish Charlotte Athletic Club that sits on the lobby level of the hotel. The upscale (and comfy) club offers spinning, yoga, boxing, and Pilates classes daily. Extensive cardio equipment is also on hand, along with a beautiful steam room and sauna. From Memorial through Labor Day weekends, the Omni also offers complimentary yoga on Sunday and Tuesday mornings on the pool deck.

The Omni doesn't have a gift shop per se, but does sit on top of the Bank of America Plaza that has several casual dining spots, clothing boutiques and a Walgreens.

The Art of Smart Timing
While Charlotte has a lot of fun for families, she's also a business town, so the Omni tends to be busy year-round - summer too -- especially Monday through Thursday, but quiet during the main holidays (except the 4th of July). Want to visit sans a wall of feet? Plan a trip during Thanksgiving or Christmas. Want nice weather? Memorial Day Weekend tends to be slow at the Omni, making it an ideal time to stay and play. Keep in mind that Charlotte is a big NASCAR town so if a race is on the calendar, the Omni will be busy.

Charlotte weather is chilly in the fall and winter (58 to 60 degrees) reaching hot temps in July and August (87 to 90 degrees).

Getting There
Guests will love that the Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is a mere 14-minutes away - given no traffic - from the Omni Charlotte. Traffic isn't bad in the Charlotte region except during typical commute times: morning and late afternoons.

The Omni Charlotte offers valet parking at $24 per night.

For Mom and Dad
While the Omni itself doesn't have a ton of entertainment (which you will find in spades surrounding the property), you can order from the Trade Restaurant Bar's impressive cocktail menu found on the lobby floor. On Friday nights, the bar has live music and reduced prices on their bar and dining menus. Open Monday through Sunday from 2 p.m. to midnight.

Directly across the street from the Omni is the Epicentre with 20 dining spots.
