We stayed for two nights in a second floor room in this charming inn near beautiful Waitsfield, VT. The owners were very friendly, and accommodated us for dinner on a busy Friday night when we had neglected to make reservations. Our room was small but comfortable, with plenty of hot water and towels. Breakfasts were a real treat, with different delicious offerings each morning. The owners told us of the trailhead just beyond the parking lot that led to a trail through beautiful fall foliage to farms with goats and pigs out for their evening meals. The town was also a hit. We ate our way through its farmer's market, seranaded by a local band. We also drove through the surrounding mountains, and saw some of the most gorgeous foliage we've ever seen. A truly wonderful and memorable weekend! We hope to be back some day.
