Overview

Jekyll Island Campground offer 18 acres of wood on the Island’s northern tip. Families can choose from over 200 sites to set up camp. These range from tent sites to full hook-up sites to RV sites with electricity, cable and sewage capabilities. Guests at Jekyll enjoy free Wi-Fi and DSL Internet. Guests enjoy a quiet, serene area with enough fun pastimes to keep boredom away. Families can bond over a marshmallow roast, watch different birds that come to the feeders or explore the Island. The campground is near Clam Creek Picnic Area and Driftwood Beach. A fishing pier is also nearby. Jekyll Island has many beaches, eco-tours, golf courses and bike trails that are perfect for a family vacation. Summer Waves Water Park is a must-see.

Excellent Service

Stayed during Shrimp and Grits Festival; busy time. Reception desk personnel and "volunteers" were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Large park in need of some grounds maintenance and road pavement. Dated bathhouse/restroom, but very well maintained. Mosquitoe issue mentioned in other review was addressed via two early morning (4 AM) spray treatment that seemed to minimize the problem.

This was our first visit down to the Golden Islands of Georgia , and certainly not our last !
We stayed at the Coastal Georgia RV Resort in Brunswick , won't make that mistake again (see our review) but spent everyday on Jeykell Island so it made sense to check out RV and camping areas on the Island .
Of course Jeykell Island Campground being the only one we had to check it out .
The campground is tucked away amongst beautiful greenery , although some sights seemed a bit cramped I would say most sites were well appointed with full services !
This campsite is situated where you can access Driftwood beach within minutes or the park beaches within 10-15 minutes driving time !
We noticed how quite the park was and seemed very clean and well taken care of .
We just found out we have a site for the month of March 2020 and are very much looking forward to a mild to warm March compared to our normal freezing waist deep in ice and snowy winter / Spring in North Central Ontario.
From what we saw I will rate this campsite high !
When we get home in April 2020 I am sure our rating will be the same !
