Instead of saying, “Are we there yet?” kids will wish the free ferry ride from Central Station to the Amstel Botel lasted longer than 10 minutes. There are 175 rooms on this boat, docked on the IJ River, eight are triples, each set up with a bunk bed and a single. Rooms are fairly simply, but this is reflected in the price. On-board entertainment is well-suited for kids with a pool table, pinball machine, jukebox, Pac Man and computers (Internet fees apply). A free shuttle bus replaces the ferry service after dark.

The accomodation was included as part of a solo group tour.
I wouldn't stay here again
Small, cramped and very basic. The shower floods quickly
Whatever cleaning liquids are used, the stench is overbearing thoughout the botel.

This quirky little hotel was one of the best that I've stayed in and probably the most exciting. Situated in Amsterdam marina, it was just a 10 minute ferry ride away from Centraal Station. NDSM has a lot to offer. The area was full of things to see and fabulous street art. The Botel itself was clean, comfortabe, and affordable despite being in a capital city. Dinner was served just a 5 minute walk away from the Botel 9the pollux0. I had such a lovely burger there, amazing value for money. Would recommend a stay here!
